About Us

It started with a dream of a father and his son. A dream to make a Star Trek film -- together.

The dream has grown. Now “He Who Draws the Sword” is a full fan film production. The teleplay by Ethan Calk takes place in the same universe Kirk and party accidentally transport to in the episode “Mirror, Mirror.” It’s years later, and that universe’s Kirk is now Emperor, and the Empire faces its greatest challenge.

Jeff Collinsworth
Executive Producer and Lead

Jeff came up with the idea after watching fan films such as Star Trek: New Voyages as a project he could share with his son Joseph. Jeff has worked with fan films, especially the New Voyages episode “World Enough and Time.” During production, Jeff not only made friends, but gain valuable experience and contacts.

Joseph Wagner
Executive Producer

Joe met Jeff on the New Voyages website, and also on the set of “World Enough and Time.” Joe wrote a pilot script for Space: 2199, a reimagination of Space: 1999. The experience taught him some valuable lessons about production. When Jeff asked him to help with the production, Joe jumped to the chance on the strength of the script alone.
