This isn't so much a question as a general discussion topic about the Mirror Universe.

The one thing that always seemed out of place in the original "Mirror Mirror" was the depiction of Spock. Everyone else was conniving and bloodthirsty save for Spock and his bodyguard. The only time we really see his 'ruthlessness' was his discussion with Sulu over the avenging of his death, and that "some of them.. are Vulcans." This gave Sulu pause in what he was planning.

My thinking on how the Vulcans should be in the Mirror Universe is that they should've been the ones who chased away the harbingers of Logic, and that their views and morals should be identical to the actual universe of Romulans... and vice versa. This would key into the "In a Mirror Darkly" where Archer mentioned the invasion from Vulcan.

One key response in "Mirror Mirror" I wish they had differently was when Kirk asked Spock: "What does your logic say about the waste?" (paraphrased) The answer that Spock should've said, in my opinion, would've been, "Captain, you have me confused... with a Romulan. Now get on the transporter pad so I can get you off my ship."

Oh yeah, this is the same Ion Vox from the STNV boards. Looking forward with whatever you have planned. Smiley

Perhaps you should watch Starship Farragut's "For Want of a Nail".  Basically the Mirrorverse is not all that different than ours...but something changed its course.   ST: Mirrorverse will go further into that as well.

I would highly recommend the William Shatner novels as well.  No doubt they're very inspirational to the Mirrorverse.  They go into great detail the story of Emperor Tiberius (Kirk) and his rise to power, his fall and his resurrection.

I love those stories, and I love how Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens incorporated it into Enterprise with the actions of Zephram Cochrane.  It's lifted right out of the books they co-wrote with William Shatner.  Smiley

The mirror-verse seems riddled with choices that were either slightly off, or just different enough to make huge waves in the course of history.

I also sometimes wonder if it was not created when McCoy saved Edith Keeler and allowed Hitler to win WWII.

It is definitely a great place to tell stories!
