Shore leave is this weekend but with membership set at $75 at the door and $50 for Saturday only, I wonder if my days in fandom are marked! 

  Is this pretty much average for the big cons these days??

From what I have seen of con prices I am afraid it is.  When you look at con admission, hotel rates, and gas prices getting there...this is certainly turning into an expensive hobby!  I can remember ( dating myself) when a hundred bucks would get you by for a three day con!
